ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT idea (what a GREAT Mom you have!). I have a little girl, 5 years old (Olivia also goes to a Montessori School), and we play a game when we're out to do a 'good deed' when we see an opportunity. Yesterday she beat me to picking up some trash on the sidewalk. Today I helped an older gentleman in a nursing home who was calling out for the nurses help (they were taking too long) ... his oxygen tube had somehow gotten caught up in the wheels of his wheelchair. He was so thankful. Not quite random...but, personally rewarding.

Although I'm a man (60 years old) I've more trust in children and woman in changing the world.
It's a pity that the man still has the most power everywhere.
I helped a child who was sitting on a swing with one shoe off (it had fallen on the ground.) I asked her if she wanted help, and she nodded her head. I put it back on her foot, and chatted with her a bit. Introduced myself, and went on my way!
